Emily Adams recently became the Tariff Simplification Manager at the PRS.
Currently there are 42 separate tariffs and all of these then have several different pricing metrics within them, so it has been decided that this needs to be simplified. This is where Emily comes in, her job sits within the Business Development team of the PPS (Public Performance Sales) department of the PRS.
The simplification of the tariffs is a two-year project, where the 42 tariffs have been split into three waves.
They have just started Wave One.
“My role is to propose simplified options for these areas, write a strategy document, go for board approval and liaise with the relevant external stakeholders. We are also in the process of a joint working project with PPL. So it is also important that any changes we make can be aligned with them for the future.”
